A VISIT TO THE VET
- posted 28/Apr/10The chaps all went to the vet this morning to be checked over by the vet to make sure they are OK to travel at the weekend.
This was their second journey in a car and they have taken to it like they have been doing it all their life. Not a single whimper from any of them, in fact I think they quite enjoyed the big adventure!
They also had their first vaccination injections (with the second to follow in two weeks time) and had their microchips implanted. The microchips are implanted in the scruff of the neck using a large needle which made them all yelp. They soon got over it though: a moment of discomfort in exchange for a lifetime of knowing that your dog can be uniquely identified and returned to you if they ever got lost or stolen.
They are due for worming today as well so we have weighed them again to make sure that they get the correct dosage. Weighing them is getting to be a tough task as they are so big and heavy now.
All in all, it's a busy day for them.
